"I spent way too much of my fucking life believing that there was something wrong with me, that I was a broken individual because I was so angry, violent, aggressive, hateful, frustrated, depressed, humiliated. And when I was growing up, people would ask me, “What the fuck is wrong with you, man?” They’d say, “Chill out, dude, what the fuck is wrong with you? What the fuck is wrong with you, why are you so upset?” And it’s taken me 25 years on this earth to realize that there’s never been anything wrong with me. Because if you can wake up in the morning, and open your eyes in the world that surrounds you, and open your eyes in this community that we call a society, that we all live in, and not be angry, frustrated, absolutely humiliated, depressed, hateful…there’s nothing wrong with me, motherfucker, there’s something wrong with you. Because this world that we live in, and this place that we share, it is cold, and it is fucked, and anybody who tells you different is not your fried. HOWEVER, those people in your life who are telling you this place is beyond saving, they are a fucking disease, and they should be cut from your life immediately. Because although this world may be turned upside down on his fucking head, all that tells a person like me is that there’s a lot of good to be done, and that makes me happy. When I look out, I see all these young people, that makes me fucking happy. So this songs called We Still Believe, and it goes out to the few of you who are willing to lay themselves down for the betterment of other people."
